Submitted by anas on Tue, 07/28/2009 - 10:45(Submitted on behalf of Safa Rawiah)
Youth Leadership Development Foundation participated in the Regional Follow-up to the Outcome of the World Summit on the Information Society which was held in Damascus, on 16-18 June 2009.
Many topics and sessions on ICT were discussed there to include regional experiences, strategies, challenges, and success stories in the ICT & ICT4D field. It is worth mentioning that YLDF was invited to share the experience of Youth in Technology for Community Development Project in this regional conference through a presentation in one of the tracks "Empowering Youth".
The three day conference with its dynamic various running tracks was really a good exposure to YLDF to the ICT world and a learning experience on how to disseminate our work and how to improve the current ideas and build on them to consider the success stories of others and avoid their mistakes.
